Ray Carmichael, Chairman
A 35-year veteran of corporate and agency Public Relations, Carmichael founded Vivid Ascent with Dan O'Brien in 2009. His interest in the evolving communications and journalism fields led him to embrace the new media and technologies that are the foundations of the company. In 1990 Carmichael founded Strategics, Inc, a financial services PR firm after serving 10 years as head of PR and corporate advertising for the Chicago Board of Trade. Before that he led both PR and fundraising for various American Red Cross chapters and also headed many of their national disaster crisis communications efforts. With undergraduate and graduate degrees in English, Political Science and Marketing, he has continued with a life-long study of ethics, missional causes and Worldviews.
